I was testing last night at 3am getting downloads of about 30kb/s 
i cant even watch a youtube video, a 1 min video jeez
without it stuttering, just tried my neighbours next door
they have 2mb aol and youtube works fine
tracert is timing out on certain hops all NTL
its nothing to do with traffic shaping as i dont download much
i only surf thru daytime
just ordered B.E adsl 2
i have gave virgin long enough to sort this crap out.

Exactly the same here, I can only browse atm, cant play games or watch streaming videos on any site. looking at the logs I have downloaded 2.8Gb in thepast 24 hours
man I'm a real heavy downloader me.2000ms pings, might as well browse with my iphone on edge, it would be quicker

Just tried a dl and was getting 1.87mbs, other times i getting 2.3mbs so all seems fine here, i will add though i come from 4 meg adsl max and paying £29.99 for it and getting this 20meg for £22 so am happy anyway.

has it speedid up for any one yet?.
me m8 recommended virgin media as he was on it a year ago.
he said he had one prob that lasted no more than two days other than that he said it was fine.
will we see our speeds go up again?.

Had connectivity issues with internet & e-mail since about 11pm wednesday, takes upto 20 minutes+ to load up a webpage. 
Nearly every friday/saturday over the last 2 months I have had bad connectivity problems with Virgin Media Broadband, I've been with Diamond Cable/NTL/Virgin Media since 1999, never really had any problems up untill this year, I'll see what happens but if it happens again in the next week or two I will definitly consider moving over to Tiscalli besides it's a lot better value for money but
Virgin Media Broadband support costs 50p a minute, on a mobile this is more like £1 a minute so their is no way I'm going to be kept on the phone 15-20 minutes, while they run tests that are pointless because it's a problem their end.
All this for £25 a month for broadband, the support service should be included within the monthly price, we pay enough as it is.

this is taking the pee now just done more tests and my speed is 868kb/s not 2mb i thought they would have fixed it by now.

ok all seems to have got better now all in the matter of 10mins or so i get 1.71mb at this site
