***NEWCASTLE VS ARSENAL + Other Wednesday Night games***SPOILERS***

What on earth is n'zogbia doing, at fault for the goal and twice left a player wide open on the left which both times should have been picked out and scored.

Yeah *Panzer points to the referee thread*

Good to see that we didn't just lay down and die after they scored like we did against Liverpool. Shame about the mistake that led to their goal.

Newcastle seem to have upped their game for tonight, very energetic performance although not creating much at all. Arsenal look they have another gear i just wish they'd use it to get 2 goals clear. If only Ade could pass we probably would have had at least 1 more.

Barton and Smith are awful btw, i really don't see what they are doing in a team with aspirations of top 1/2.

1-1 Taylor

Leading on from Ripper's thread about the standard of refs; one thing that ***** me off with refs and im sure a lot of others is the lack of consistency, Given has just been booked for trying to get Diarra booked (and rightly so) yet just before half-time Toure done the exact same thing yet got nothing (he and Gallas are as bad as anybody for that too).

Why do defenders constantly get away with what Taylor just did? It's almost as if ref's think you're allowed to obstruct other players while having no intention of getting the ball.

Appalling second half from us, no composure and far too many long balls. Just needed someone to get their foot on it and calm it down. Adebayor was a complete waste of space apart from the goal, can't pass and can't dribble, every time he got the ball he lost it and it came straight back again. I was hoping Rosicky would have more of an influence but he was pretty poor too.

Only saw the second half but Newcastle played pretty well, thought Smith had a great game and won just about every aerial challenge he went for.
Milner looked decent but his final ball let him down 90% of the time.

Was hoping Almunia and Toure would get me clean sheets though :(
