Is Halo 3 worth playing

Well if you like cliches, fair enough.

I never said i liked them, but you have to admit that the series is the biggest cliche ever. But the fact that Bungie left the Arbiter out as a playable character in Halo 3 (singleplayer not co-op), should give an idea of why he ruined Halo 2. I don't know why they bothered putting him in. In my opinion, Halo 2 would have been so much better if the Arbiter and the Chief didn't become bum-chums.

So how would you have re-worked it to have just the Chief?

Like i said just take out the Arbiter and have the Elites as the main enemies again. Have him blowing up Halo, then just cut to a scene of a gang of Elites or something tell Prophet whatshisface that the Chief did it. Easy.

Im sure a lot of people would have liked to fight the Elites again in Halo 3 instead of the Brutes.

Play it if you want to finish the story. In my opinion, the story went to **** after Halo 1 - that's still the best in the series.

Quote for truth. Halo 1 was a masterpiece in gaming. Halo 2 was a big meh, but Halo 3 did bring some of the good gameplay from Halo 1 back, just had the bad storyline from 2.

It was worth playing it when it came out "To Finish The Fight", and once the mutliplayer side of things had worn off it'll never be played again in this household. I think other FPS such as COD4 has made Halo3 seem abit dated

I liked the 1st Halo, But the 2nd wasn't for me. The 3rd one felt a lot like a prettier version of the 2nd one, and i didnt get very far. I got bored :p

From my view standing I'd sell the game wrapped and get full price, But that's because i'd have the gift of hind sight.

You don't have that, You haven't played it. So unfortunately, Its a case of sell it at full price and never experience the game. Or open it, play it, Love it or hate it. Sell it on or don't.

Yeah... That would have made an "eh hem" *great* game...

Halo 2 has the best storyline by far because of the arbiter. You get to see the covenant/human war from the elites point of view for the first time ever and I thought it was great - the arbiter and the chief are after completely different objectives throughout most of the game. He made Halo 2 in my opinion. I played through the campaign close to one hundred times I reckon

As for the OP - play the game but It wasn't a great choice playing halo 2 on the pc for the first time. Halo 2 is an xbox game and I think you might see why if you tried it. You needed to be playing it "at the time" to appreciate it more in my opinion.

Third one campaign wise is garbage tbh... The hype ruined the game for me although I can still appreciate Halo 3's story :)

Also Nymins - you dont get to play as the arbiter on live you moron - just goes to show how much you know about the game :)

Is Halo 3 worth playing? Yes, it's fun, especially in co-op mode. Is it a somewhat average game? Undoubtably.

As my first Halo game (having never owned the original Xbox), I still don't know what all the fuss was about.

Because you played the last game in the trilogy? Its like watching Lord of the rings return of the king and saying that was crap without watching the other two :p

Best game for 4 player split screen action I've come across on the 360 imo...aside from that though, I'm not really a fan of the game. Does CoD4 have local 4 player split screen options?

Unfortunately there's no split screen. :(

COD 4 is likely to be a rent for me because of this, hell I still play PDZ for its 4 player split screen. :D
