Would have helped if I put my phone on vibrate before the text got sent.

it is true... as i have a motorola. and this feature can be both useful and annoying.
like if you're alseep and you get a message, your phone vibrates all the bloody timme through the night and you wonder what the hell it is.
but also if you miss the vibration the first time, it reminds you
like what's happening here lol.

True, they do. Every 5 minutes.
Not so lol I'm afraid. Got a text in a lecture once. Phone was on vibrate. Obviously couldn't answer it so I left it until the half-time break. That was until it went again. Now I thought this was another text. But then 5 minutes later, another one! Thought someone had died and Mum was trying to contact me urgently. Turned out it was a mate who texted me once but my phone greatly distressed me.
I've always been of the opinion that the brain can pick up the same interference that stereo speakers do when mobiles ring, hence being able to grab the phone before it goes off or just before you get a message.
There may be some scientific explanation that suggests the electrical pathways in the brain are susceptible to this, or I could just be talking tripe...

Seriously they should put a warning in the manual or on the front of the box...
If you feel the vibration (ooh er missus!) 5 minutes late then you obviously have delayed sensory perception.

Theres been so many times ive thought i heard my phone viabrate, picked it up but no txt. Then it viabrates and a text comes through, its quite freeky indeed. Its always a weird feeling when you think the phones gone off, its almost as if you know its about to ring or viabrate but at the time it all seems normal untill you think back.
Doubt this is related but i can tell when my phone alarm is about to go off in the morning as well. I wake up and just know any second its about to go off.
