The games that started off PC gaming for you?

What's TA like on XP? I haven't played it in ages - got a lot of fond memories of that game :)

Still got it somewhere, I might have to dig it out now...

yeh runs perfect on xp, even with a high resolution, brilliant ;)

theres amazing mod sites, where you can add FULL armies for just 20-40mb its great fun!

add a star wars army (clone trooper) with no glitches, it looks like its the proper game, add lord of the rings army, its so much fun. :D

just wish there was a online of it :( but all the providers for the online game e.g gamespy stopped as it was a old game :( theres still a mega huge comunity for the game aswell,

TFC was my first game.

Used to sniper on 2fort on 56k and i loved it, started getting clanned and played the game for another 4 years, i started when i was 12.

Was an awesome game :D

The first game that I really played a lot, was Pitfall on an old ATari when I was 6 or so :)

My first machine was a Vic20 and I played Radar Rat Race for hours at a time.

Then my C64 and Twin Kingdom Valley.

But on the PC, my first true love, was King's Quest I. Well, that was my friend's PC - we played it for so long it was stupid, even though we had the entire map (apart from two frames) hand-drawn on A3 paper :)

On my own PC, it was King's Bounty. What a game. Swiftly followed by Dune 2.
 
22 years old, started in early high school when i played the early mech warrior games at my mates house...i hope i never out grow games...good times
 
Half-Life and boooooooy what a way to start. Has there ever been a better introduction to PC gaming than that tram ride. i was simply blown away. The best gaming experience i have ever had. PII 350 and a Voodoo2 :D

Before that it was all games on the Archimedes A3000 and friends snes/megadrive etc.

First games to get me properly hooked were Space Quest 1 and Kings Quest 3 (both 1986), but I remember playing Montezuma's Revenge and Alley Cat before then.
 
I'm 19 and the first game I played was either Doom, X wing vs Tie fighter or Monopoly on MS Dos.

All I remember is that I had to type in dos commands to find the game and run it.

The first game I played was on an amstrad 486. iirrc it was a snakes like game called 'Nibbles' (Me, my brother and my cousins were hooked on this).:D
Almost forgets where he is lost in all the nostalgia...

But my first decent games were Doom and Duke Nukem.
