I think the room needs reorganised tbh. It was very messy and wasn't the best use of the room for the space.
Edit:
I think a layout similar to this would work best. My dimensions are totally out to be honest, but 2 people can fit to a table as several were last time. Also should cut down on the amount of cables trailing over the floor. You can have banter with more people in front of you and beside you.

I agree with Windles idea, 2 to a desk is actually very easy, especially with everyone using TFT monitors.
Cables should be pre-laid and taped to the carpet to make it:
a) A lot tidier
b) A lot safer
It's possible to fit a lot more people in that room, even if it's simply putting tables alongside both side walls and along the window.

The last time i had about 30mins total to arrange the whole room with no idea how it would play out or how many we could fit. Worry ye not this one will be better organised.

my dads agreed to purchase a big hub and some tables and ive found my trusty cat% cable tool this time so i can make up some special cables too.

Talking of 10m cables, I'm pretty sure I left mine that was connected to the router
. No harm done, better that then something more important .That one radiator was piping hot, and in a room full of that many people it certainly had a big effect!
It was bliss after we turned it off.
