High Resolution Women

That's fine, I'm not afraid to venture into there :p

Tell us in here when you get one going and I'll get subscribed :)

Well, here's a start. Compare this eye, to the left eye of the picture I said I'll be using earlier.

... and that's only 5 minutes work. I reckon I could spend up to 10 hours on the eyes alone. I really like to dig deep, hence why I wanted high resolution photos.

I would love to have an absolutely huge image for reference, especially of the eyes and lips. :(

Overtone are you using a tablet or a mouse?

Mouse. Tablet for the lose, too! :p

Nah, I just haven't got around to investing in a tablet yet. I'm kinda holding it off so that I can push my 'mouse skills' to the top, first. Tablets, to me at least, feel like cheating. Probably because I've only ever used a mouse. :)

Once you start using a tablet, you'll find that those 'mouse skills' you've worked so hard to acquire will never be called upon again. If you're serious about using Photoshop as much as I think you are - and I speak as someone who's used it professionally on a daily basis for the past seven years - make the transition sooner rather than later.

Stop hoarding your money and get yourself a Wacom epiphany :p

Good, I am starting on making an Evangeline Lilly picture in the same style as A Scanner Darkly and only have a mouse :p

Cheating? lol, you really need to get one, pretty much essential in your line of work, if you don't want to spend too much, this wacom one is pretty good for the price, can be had for £44 http://www.wacom-europe.com/bamboo/index.asp?pid=210,

I've heard that a lot, and I'm sure it's all true.

Another reason though, is that I've never been good at freehand drawing at all, which amazes some people when I show them what I've done in Photoshop. I'm sure a tablet would soon transfer my skills to my hands, so it's in the pipeline. :)
