First post but long time lurker
After all the excitement around Dx3 being announced, it got me in the mood to play the original again. This must have been my seventh play through, and despite some of it's flaws and age, it never fails to leave me in awe. Despite me thinking I knew the game back to front, I still found areas that I had never found before and little side missions and people I had never discovered previously. It's such a vast game. I'll never know how they managed to fit it all on one little CD.
As for the augs, for anyone else that plays it, I cannot stress how useful I found the spy drone. It it rubbish to start with, but fully upgraded it takes down bots with no fuss. Regeneration and speed are the next best augs. I barely used the rest. Targeting information was cool because it made me feel like a Terminator, but it was a bit useless really
.
I shall be starting on Deus Ex 2 tomorrow. I've put off playing it for years but with DX3 coming along, I feel I need to know how the story will progress. I am preparing for the worst so hopefully when I play it it won't be too terrible.
As for anyone who never played Deus Ex 1 or never got far into it (or finished it!) I must urge you to go and play it now. It is the finest game on any platform of gaming ever.
