The percentage of new to old stuff is irrelevant if it fixes just one more thing than before it worthwhile.
You should also check the context to which im replying to then you would have understood that i was not saying that it was not pretty much a rollup, but a rollup but with a few extras, but the few extras are different enough to need beta testing.

There is always a need to test it, whatever is included. For lots of reasons which should be obvious.

Well if all your saying is that its just a rollup & noting more then we have been testing it for long enough now & MS should know what the problem are.
If the is case that few problem have a rised from the previous fixes that we have been using then that is re-addressing existing fixes that i have said before.
The importance of SP1 is obvious but that is not my point.

Well I have installed the 32bit release onto a laptop that was sufering from a problem detecting and installing USB devices and it has fixed that issue.
 
When SP1 final is out won't you have to uninstall rc1 first?

Some people are gonna be peeshed!
 
My windows update for the SP came in at 80MB and install took about 45 minutes to install. A small update because I have all the windows updates and some hot fixes installed.

The stand alone SP is 436MB and windows update offered between 51MB and 531MB.

Noticed one thing that in control panel, classic view you now cannot change the icon size.

Im loving it!!
At long last even with all the other patches and tweaks my network was crawling when moving files around.

I can now move files at a constant 80mb :D does a happy dance \0/
