Electric cars, not too far to go now !

Still not great for long distance journeys unfortunately. Only going to take of when you can re-charge at a service station and I doubt they are going to be happy when they are selling less petrol, seeing as the price they charge is a tiny bit high.

Unless of course you have a charging station like a petrol station, where they charge you per watt your car consumes. At a high rate of course :D

That's mostly tax. Not cost of fuel.

companies make very little from petrol per litre it's just the sheer volume they sale. They could easily fit a charging station and charge you for that.

250miles is more than enough for a huge swath of the population.

Meh, I hate electric cars, takes away the fun part of somethign that is being burnt.

If we move on then get hydrogen cars, not elec cars :(.

I never said they were making lots of money, just that they charge you more than a normal service station. Would still be less money for them.

I also said that in my post as well

Good think with electric is you get all that torque from 0 - max rpm...

No gearbox. In other words there stupidly fast and powerful. But no v8 rumble :(

hydrogen fuel celled cars are almost as pointless as electric cars. and quite a lot more dangerous, due to the whole hydrogen being explosive type thing.

A petrol car does that though while filling it for 2 minutes, not 10.

Compressed hydrogen gas is quite a lot more dangerous than petrol.

Pff who cares, it's combustion: I want gears, I want to trash the engine so the RPM flyes up so much that the valves almost fall off. I dont want contstant even power for everyone and all the time.

What's fun about an elec engine?
Hydrogen combustion is just CO2 free combustion :), pleases the envoirementalists, pleases me :p.

Besides, if they'd think gasses etc would be too unsafe then LPG would never become an important fuel because of explosion danger, yet here in the NL, 2 % of all cars drive on it.

Maybe so, but do many 700+ HP cars do that? Nope, probably more than 10 mins filling in all, but obviously not sure how much HP thier GTSE has, as its the GT listed with 700+

Still quite a feat!
