Don't want to chat about AA and AF I want a professional Bench,

Come on easyrider please do show us these myths you refer to rather than spout drivel once again about how the hardware you own is better than anyone elses.

Not doubting the GTS is a great card for 3d06 as your score proves or indeed that it is a great all round card. This however is common knowledge but is misleading others into believing the GTS is a better card than the GTX which we both know just aint true. If you are going to reveal myths then I feel that the above comment had to be made.

For what reason. Its scores less at the res 3d06 runs default at. I however dont game at 1280x1024 and havn't done for a couple of years at least. I buy a graphics card to play games. I buy a powerful graphics card to play games at the best quality possible.

Please don't get me wrong. I am not saying the GTS is crap but anyone worth there salt should know that comparing one card next to another in an outdated benchmark is pretty useless tbh. We need a DX10 benchy with AA and 1600x1200 minimum res.

Get a grip for gods sake lol the card is £210 delivered not like your on some elite level.
If you want a high 3d mark score get sli gtx ultra and clock those under water.

if anyone has full 3dmarks06 can they do a run with a gt @ 1920x1200 as 1280x1024 has no intrest to me?

Why not just compare your results on the orb? GTS512 doesnt justify the cost over a gt atm for me, my 2 3870's some how do at almost 20k ( for abour £40 more than a single gts) its swings and round abouts

I agree with the OP. It would be interesting to see a fair comparison. Perhaps to make it easier for someone the CPU quad should be at stock also? or perhaps one at stock and one at 4ghz?

Just plugged my new BFG 8800 GTS a few hrs ago, loving it so far.
