Wish they got some new song packs released, its been a while now.
Ive got guitar hero 2, just the game on order to use with the wireless guitar too

The Velvet Revolver pack is awesome, did anyone get the Foo Fighters one? if so whats there opinion?

I managed to 4-star TTFATF on Hard but i can get a grand total of 2% in on expert before failing

I think if I hire some lemming to hold the green button for me during the intro i should be able to get a lot further. I did it in training and managed to get 78% at full speed.

I got the Foo Fighters one and it's good. Only tried the songs on easy so far as I'm really bad at this game. So bad I can only get 3 stars on Raining Blood on EASY! God knows how I'm going to manage on medium. Do you really get much better at this the more you play?

definitely, I've never seen anyone pick it up and be amazing instantly, it just takes practice.

Definitely so!

Its mostly about rythym and learning the notes.

I found it does help to know the songs inside out, and being a "real" guitar player doesn't really help except for the rythym, espeically on "One" Cracked 99% on easy first time, now trying to do medium, and did try the hard fast middle section on expert and found it ok.

How much easier is it with the guitar for someone who cant play a guitar?

I have just downloaded the demo and it seems a great party game, obviously been using just the controller

I think its easier to pick up and play if you've played guitar, however its easier to get very good if you haven't played guitar in the long run.

At first I preferred the pad but now the guitar, the triggers on the pad are not designed for hitting quickly, they take too long to press down!

So my mrs has bought me this for xmas. I was looking for GH2 and can only find it with the Guitar. Is it possible to buy the game without the guitar?

Or can the tracks from GH" just be downloaded?

Edit, looking on auction the game on its own goes for over £35.

no, GH2 can only be bought with the guitar as it was the first GH game on the 360. You might be able to get it on auction sites on its own. And no they can't be downloaded.

The Foo Fighters pack is good, but I'm a huge foo's fan, so I guess I could be biased.

All my Life and This is a Call are much harder than The Pretender though imo. 4 starred all on medium, All my Life and This is a Call were both a struggle though.

Not a huge fan of velvet revolver, but think it's worth getting the pack?

yeah, she builds quick machines is a brilliant song. Slithers a great song but not the best one to play. Messages I find really fun to play. I hope they continue releasing artist packs like this, its far better than what they did for GH2.

Have any of you guys with the wireless guitar had any issues with having to play notes late due to the lag, or if you play them at the right time, the note misses?

I don't know if I should go for the wireless guitar pack or buy a wired SG guitar and the game separately.

With the whole "handycap" thing on GH3 I wouldn't worry if the wireless guitar does have any lag. Your still going to hit that note. I haven't tried my wireless on GH2 so I really couldn't comment if there was any noticeable lag.

tbh If I could go back in time, I would buy GH2 for my 360 because I don't like the fact that the neck comes off and it doesn't sit on my leg properly due to the bulge in the les paul design. Oh and I don't think GH2 has stupid ******* boss battles which for some reason I just don't find fun, probably because ive never liked Slashes solos/work anyway. grrr.

I've had no issues with button lag yet though.
