Congratulations United. Neither team played well and a draw would've been a fair result but it's games like this that separate the teams that will be fighting for the title and the teams that won't. 2 points against the top three teams at home just isn't good enough
Hope the Americans realise how far we are behind United and open their cheque books so we can sign real class in the positions we need it.

Standard of our wide players still too far behind On the whole we defended well as did Utd and it was a pretty even game which was always going to be decided on either a set-play or dodgy decision etc which it ended up coming true.
Only real positive for us was Babel, maybe its about time he started a few games soon.

Once again the question has been asked of Liverpool's titles credentials and once again they dont come up with the answers. Take some solace from all the possession they had but as Souness said last year and Gullitt said this year, the top teams are happy to concede possession to Liverpool as they rarely trouble them with it

obviously very pleased, We came to do a job to be honest and managed it. Defence was a tower of strength as were Anderson and Hargreaves. Pool looked pretty good to be honest and we might have had more trouble if Torres had his shooting boots on. There was a 15-20 minute period in the second half where i was sure liverpool were going to score but it petered out a little bit in the final 20minutes.

Probably the same place Ronaldo and Rooney went. Best player in the world? LOL
Anderson or Tevez for me but in saying that utd defence were very solid so can understand it.
Ronaldo was quiet, but Rooney hassled the Liverpool defence at every opportunity.
I'm the opposite, can see a 2 - 0 to us.

Over a 10 minute period. Not an unheard of statistic.
United deserved it really. Liverpool didn't really make any chances. Only Van der Saar's mistakes gave them any chances. Liverpool need a lot of improvement if they are to challenge for the title. They barely stretched Man United at all. Man United deserved winners.
/EDIT - Evra MOM for me. Won the ball in the air like Rio and Vidic and covered a hell of a lot of ground. Barely put a foot wrong and one of the best performances I've seen from him.
