Eh up

I seem to have somehow got a nasty little spyware bar steward on my system and its knackered up my firefox, everything else seems to be fine but all i get from firefox is a blank page and i cant get to any other page at all

Ive ran spybot S&D but i cant install Adaware (keep getting some 1920 error)

Kaspersky 6 isnt picking anything up either

Help meh :(

Running that now

My machine is running XP SP2, ive got rid of Firefox and installed a fresh version that didnt work ive even gona back to a previous version to no avail :(
 
Borrow a PS/2 or USB wired keyboard, it's always best to remove these nasties in safe mode either way.
 
WLS didnt fix anything, it found a few dodgy entries in the registry and deleted them but FF is still borked :/

Did you delete the profile folders when you reinstalled firefox? What extensions are you using?

You say that you deleted the Mozilla folder but did you actually remove the old Firefox profile directory as well (which may not be under c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ ... ).

I'd be tempted to run firefox -p and use the profile dialog to create a brand new profile and see if that improves things ...
