Football 18-20 December *SPOILERS*

Strange decision to take Babel off though, was the only player looking like he was trying to do something upfront.

Nearly every ball Liverpool put forward tonight was a long ball, with Crouch on the pitch it is someone to aim for but he's useless in the air most times, and when he went off it was completely pointless
 
Thought Sheva did very well in the build up in the 1-2 down the right flank, certainly didn't look sluggish, dare i say it he looked sharp. Good finish too although terrible goal keeping.

I wouldn't say he looked sharp but better than last season, good strike for the goal but a sharp forward would have got a couple more today Hobbs looked all over the place.
 
If Sissoko plays again this season for the 1st team, with other fit CM's I'd be very surprised, he is dog poo!

I should have said, it's all i saw of the match, flicked over just before the move started. Just quite energetic though considering he'd just played 90 mins. Considering how sluggish he was last year it's a massive improvement. Guess his sprinting lessons are paying off.

Avram Grant is hardly a playboy jet setter now is he, more flab than Vanessa Feltz and looks like a fatter David Guest :eek:
 
Sissoko has completely lost his form and without a run of games isn't likely to regain it. Just hope Benitez sells him during the transfer window rather than keeps him in the hope he might get back to the awesome player he was when he first joined us.

I'd take that for him, his work rate and tackling normally makes him worth his place, but recently he has been below par. Mascherano is a much better choice, also better than Mikel and Ballack thats for sure ;)

Don't think we'll sell him unless we become a bit more realistic about the transfer fee, Ranieri was quoted as saying Sissoko was going to cost around £20m (albeit including wages) which is why they signed Tiago :eek: The way he's been playing we're going to struggle to get close to the £9-10m which Barca and Juve offered in the summer.
 
I'm worried he'll just play him for the sake of playing him like he did with Morientes, Nunes and Josemi etc. I don't think he likes to accept that his signings aren't working and gives them more time than they really deserve.
