Where did you meet your girlfriend/boyfriend?

I haven't got a girlfriend currently. I have had a couple in the past but nothing too serious. I don't have much confidence and am extremely self conscious. How exactly do you approach a girl and start talking to her if you have never spoken to her before? :(

Be natural and be yourself, depends on who you're talking to but the more you do it the easier it will get.

See, I'm a bit weird. I have a lot of confidence, I'll do anything really. But at the same time I'm EXTREMELY self concious, so I would usually find it easy to go up to a girl i find attractive and start talking to her, but once I'm past the initial contact bit, I get shy, nervous, worry about how I look, what I'm saying, and I just think I look completely stupid and stuff. I have made lots of girl mates that way, most of my mates are girls, but non of them would ever see me as anything more, and I wouldn't know how to impress a girl in a way to make her want more like myself hah.

Met my Mrs at a Skyline Owners Club meeting, she arrived with a fella and left with me!

:)

Been married 5 months now, she's lovely.

nah lol.

do you think its strange that ive never had a proper girlfriend at 16?

Not at all. I didn't have my first girlfriend till I was 18, lost my virginity in that relationship. tbh, she was the first girl I ever properly kissed.. I was a late starter haha.

16 isn't weird at all mate.

Thanks Jodie. :) If you do happen to like someone and approach them out of the blue, they will bound to think it's weird?

I wouldn't say so, you are only 16 remember. :)

I wouldn't say that, it's rarely out of the blue because if you like someone your body language will say it before you do. Even if someone hadn't noticed I woudn't think they'd think it weird at all, it's always worth talking to people and giving it a go; after all, we only live once and a wasted life is worse than a few embarrassments.

A group of mates brought someone I'd not seen before to a firework display, hardly spoken to her all evening, on walking back to the carpark I asked her out for a pint.
It lasted 3 years. :D

Another one,
Pulled onto the sea front at Weston back when I was a bit of a boy racer, got chatting through the window to a blond temptress from Yate...
That one lasted about three years, and I got engaged to her. (biggest mistake EVAR)

Two others I stole from my mates. :o but we wont go there..

I met my missus when I was working for Air France in Paris during my university placement year.... we were both living in this hostel-kinda-place. I hadn't been in France very long and I wasn't sure if tap water was OK to drink. I was in the kitchen and she was sat there having a smoke so I asked her if the tap water was safe. One thing led to another and we got to know each other over the next few days.

Our first date was on the Champs Elysees...... I took her to McDonalds. Didn't want to set her expectations too high ;)

Been married since '99.... and I still love her to bits.
