Pronounciation of Linux.

He's got a funny accent though :p

I used to be Line-ux, but have since changed after everyone in my department says Lin-ux.
 
I pronounce it Lin-ux.

Its all down to interpretation and how you hear it being said.

Many people will say its Line-ux.
 
I always say Line-ux.

Tho it's always Lin-ux when I hear someone on the telly or the net saying it.
 
Well Linus Torvalds pronounces it Lin-ucks, and i've done the same since hearing that.
 
Linus pronounces it that way cause that's basically how 'i's are pronounced in Scand languages. Best example I know if is Ikea - over there its 'eekea' - go figure.

Use what ever gets the message across, I say Linux some here at work say Line-ux. I don't really care too much.
 
lin-ux here. For some reason "line-ux" really annoys me when I hear it. Usually because working at purple shirted land, it's the way that people who don't know anything about it pronounce it when they ask what it is.

No offense, it's just my experience (as you'd expect in there).
