What addon/UI do I get for WoW

xperl for frames.

I use ct bar mods as i know them and like them. There might be better, would like to hear about it.

I use atlas for complete maps. Plus some of the blizz added ones

Any compilations people recommend?

I liked the look of Dread UI, but couldn't get it work. Couldn't work out getting icons in centre box. And with all the discord stuff it looked a pain if lost settings.

Just playing battlegrounds as a mage.
 
Here's my UI

Addons on display: Most are Ace2. Do a search for the WoWAceUpdater. Great tool for installing and keeping addons updated.

Unit frames = Pitbull
Casting bar = Quartz
Raid Frames = Grid (+Many grid addons)
Action Bars = Bartender3

I'd recommend you reading this thread - http://elitistjerks.com/f32/t16276-post_your_interface/ as it showcases a lot of different UI styles, most often with a download link.

Then it's just a case of finding out what you like and tailoring the UI to suit your needs. I built my UI from the ground up and I know what every mod does that goes into it. This isn't usually the case when installing a prebuilt package.

Photek is probably the one most people turn to for a quick and easy UI
 
i still use cosmos but turn of most of the stuff i dont need.

wow does almost everything you need now. if your gonna instance though omen is a must addon.

the damage meter above is recount, much better than damagemeters.

lol is it me or are you pugging SSC?!? i see like 4 or 5 differant guilds.

I Use XPerl unitframes, it's one of the most popular and has more usefull party / raid options that you can shake a stick at!

hmm dont see a lot in that screen shot, lemme see if i can locate a better one.

Edit: hmm i rarely do parties on the lock now, it's always raid and i dont have party frames on in raids. Anway basic add-ons are, Xperl, Titan bar, Bartender, cycircled, Omen threatmeter, Enemy castbars, SWStats(everyone in guild uses it as it sync's everyones for acuracy regardless of range). CT Mod which these days is mostly just for the Buffbar.

Well I did some Arena, but I was largely a raiding shadowpriest.

What that UI doesn't show is my pop-up pots bar ;), and during combat/raiding my combat log becomes active on the right side of my buttons.
 
Majority of those all look awful, far too much clashing colours and too big. Prefer the minimal approach. I'll have to check my mods later.
 
XPerl frames and quartz. All I do is watch my debuffs closely, and refresh those that have gone off the quartz debuff list. I also use the global cooldown pulse ticker in conjunction with the latency redzone on the cast bars to chain and time spells perfectly - this results in a far bigger damage output than you'd believe. I'll put a screen up later to show how I set it up. It's simplistic and focuses only on maximum damage output and efficiency.
