Impressed. The start of the storm looks good with the lighting and moving grass

Cant wait for the cryengine or farcry2 engine (or whatever it is) to be used in a few years to create games like Blood with some scary ass atmosphere and great effects. Anyone for the carnival level in Cryengine?!

I did not expect UBISOFT to come out with something like this especially in Pre-ALPHA form considering the recent UBI titles that have been pants - so yes this came as a surprise to me too!

Looks good but I doubt it'll be as well coded as Crysis to run on old hardware.
Crysis is extremely well coded.

When I saw this was coming out, I was expecting mid-2009 for the initial release date. Not spring 2008. :eek:

Only just seen these video's and OMG looks like it will be a much better game than Crysis but with the same or better graphics/physics :eek:

Is this not just the same engine as Crysis? Why are people treating them like they are made by two different companies?

And who said Crysis is very well coded? You kidding right? It doesnt utilise more than one core and you cannot play it smoothly and have it look top notch on any hardware yet.

No, its an engine made in house at Ubi-soft, they own the 'farcry' trademark. Nothing to do with Crytek or crysis.

Gameplay looks better to me except for pulling bullets out with the knife, and there are some screenshots here

No it isn't, it runs mostly under 20 fps on medium/low for most people without a 8800 or equiv

That French article's contents really puts Crysis to shame. I'm very happy to see that the developers aren't just using the Farcry name to make some quick, easy cash. They're putting in a stupid amount of effort into this.
