Anyone know anything about watches?

I know that they tell you the time, bout it really, oh and they run on cogs!

Oh and they can be electric, and run on batteries, and they can control tvs!

bout it.

loads of people know their stuff where watches are concerned on here. sadly they scoff at you unless its a £2000+ special fancy thingamabob.

Not really I have a £80 Seiko and some higher end stuff and I think most people into watches probably are the same

You could probably get tissot pr50 auto for not much more than that. I gota ballade III for my birthday in the summer which was about £200 but the pr50s tend to be quite a lot less and have the same swiss movement iirc :)

edit: £131 on amazon :)

For £100 I would stick with Seiko or Citizen. For the money they are very well built and look good too. I'm not sure if it's within your budget but check out some of the Citizen Eco Drive range of watches. They are solar powered and never require a battery. I had an eco drive Nighthawk for 2 years and it never hiccupped once, kept time better than any other watch I have ever owned.

i've got a seiko and a rotary wath, both in the sales and just under £100 - i'd love to spend more on one but i have bigger priorities and both my watches do their intended jobs

I just asked as one of my presents was a dkny dress type watch for the around £100. I like the really like look/design but would rather a watch by an actual watch maker.

I'm told i can take it back if like.

Got myself a Seiko Automatic (~£50) as my day-to-day watch. My current expensive watch is a Seiko Kinetic (~£250), but I aspire to the Seamaster when I leave Uni :)

I'm considering one of these, model number SNA587P1. A bit over your budget though.
