bottled beer versus canned beer:who wins ?

no way. it tastes different because i think there is something they put into the cans which i hate. i much prefer the bottle as it tastes fresher.

edit: whats with all the booze threads? :p
 
All drinks taste better out of glass bottle, beer is no exception. Coke's another good example when I used to drink it, and of course wine! ;)
 
coke is a very good example, so much nicer from a glass bottle compared to plastic / can or mixer.
 
I'd generally agree that bottled beers taste nicer than cans but there are notable exceptions - Miller from a can tastes less less like watered down micturation and Stella Artois from a can tastes less like micturation full stop. Almost everything else that I've ever had tastes bottled than canned though.
 
I wasnt sure a long time ago until i had (coincidentally) a bottle of grolsch to my left and a can of grolsch to my right. So i undertook a scientific experiement and poured them in to seperate glasses, it turns out the bottled tasted a lot nicer. Now as any good scientist knows you cant base your results off one test, so i did it a fair few more times just to be safe :D

you've given me an idea, asap i will get some cans of Stella Artois and Lowenbrau and do an experiment.....hic...hic....experiments :)

Just don't mix the two, or the universe will implode.
 
Good idea,I think bottle beer is better but at some student places they sell bottles or cans, it is £3 either way so better get the bigger can, atleast after the frist 2 or 3.
