I haven't really played MP since the days of quake (on my trusty 28.8 modem
) and so have recently got myself into this and I love it. Sure I'm not the best out there, and yes there are lots of grenades and air strikes, but it's not that hard to avoid if you're careful. If you hear an airstrike, get cover, if you hear a grenade either chuck it back or get out of the blast area. As for the jumping, well in a proper battle scene (what a silly thing to compare it to really) you have infantry who press on, and the snipers picking off people, and the heavy gunners providing covering fire etc... and you know what? Soldiers will do their utmost to save themselves and their comrades - so ok they jump on a computer game, but maybe in real life they'd so something else just as ridiculous. Eitherway it's a moot point as it is just a game, you have to immerse yourself into that reality that that's how the characters react and behave - it's not that hard to counter, or you just pick your time for shooting more carefully, whilst putting some distance between yourself and the person. As for the grenade launcher, for a start you've only got a couple and it doesn't reload that quickly either (rather realistic if you ask me (I've actually fired them in real life)) and are perfectly acceptable. Yes you can compare it to the "real" world but frankly its' quite ridiculous to do so as it's nothing like it, even though it is loosely based on it.
Right I'm going to try and get myself up to level 27 - ciao!
