Pets in your house, what are the rules?

my dog is allowed on the bay window seat so he can "keep guard". also allowed on the sofas when on his rug or on a person. he knows the rules though and wudnt jump on a sofa without a person to jump onto. not allowed upstairs either.

"Manx cats from the Isle of Man, and the Schipperke -- a Belgian breed of dog -- have no tails at all. Although they live in trees, like monkeys, the sloths of Central and South America, and the lovable sleepy little Koala "bear" of Australia, have no tails -- perhaps because they always move so slowly. Among the rodents -- many of which have quite long or bushy tails -- the guinea pig, the cavy and the giant capybara of South America have none."

Two cats and two fish, cats aren't allowed in the living room at night and are never allowed on the sofas. Fish have to be home before 11.

I have a 6 month old Boxer pup with a docked tail. All of his litter and the two other litters we looked at were the same.

Must've been done in Ireland/another country as it's illegal here.

Unless of course it was just done anyway. I'm can't say I really know much about whether they feel any pain when it's done or whether it causes problems for them in later life.

Get a sloth...

They are awesome ... I'll think about it :p

That's the only time I've seen one where I haven't instantly thought "ALIEN, ALIEN!"

Bingo?

Pain, a little yes, but its gone in 2 minutes. Its done at 3-4 days old. You can tie them off to stop the blood or cut them off.

No problems in later life are caused.
