Is there a virus going round?

I heard something about a virus going round like a bit of flu or something, but didn't really take much notice. Today (this afternoon) I felt like death, kept getting pressure headaches, feeling dizzy, and wanting to throw up or take a poop. Felt like this all afternoon at work, got home, took some beechams, and don't feel any better.

Damn, can't get into bed as lying down makes me feel worse, standing up is the same, sitting down is just about tolerable.

Any ideas what this is?

Given that in the last two weeks, over 80% of the department have been ill, I'd say that something must be going around.

Normally I'm not bothered about illnesses, I can tolerate them, but this is like one of the worst I have had in a good few years.

Read in the paper 2 million people have this flu thing at the moment in the UK.

My cousin is a GP and her husband is a virologist (as well as the cleverest guy I know) and they say it's the Norwalk virus going round at the moment.

My family had it a while back. Both my wife and I had the upset stomach/guts thing, and our daughter was ill for a few days.
