From AmateurJimmy Once again.....

I was pleased with the outcome from the event as we got about 20 members so i have bought
us a site to get started http://ocuk.xippy.co.uk its vital that we get the forums going,
you can request a event and we will see what we can do.

ive already noticed allot of interest so i will be definatly considering servers for it looks
like definatly cod4 and tf2 depending on interest for tf2. and definatly a ventrilo/teamspeak.

as you will see when you go onto the site at the latest news there a little intro just syaing
cut us a little slack :p as its a new site and got together in literally a week, there is a
idea thread so all ideas are more than appreciated for the benefit of us!

we do want to make this successful! and i know in the near future the members will be glad it worked
and they stuck with it.

we will work and do our best to make it work.

Im guessing site member = visitor

community member = OcUK member

its probably to stop randomers joining themselves to the OcUK community.
 
Pseudo and Anks do it I think, both are usually online @ night...


Anyhow Anks I've noticed on my poor lappy's ie6 ( wont install ff and ie7 coz both are way too much of a hog for something with 192mb of ram.) the menu doesn't show up in proper size, any fix for this:



Aside that so far it looks all fine.

Use the FF 3 beta, much slimmer than FF2
 
Whats with the no mentioning of competitors thing?

I can understand that on this forum but unless Spie is sponsoring the other site then I really can not understand why? Or do you just never mention competitors in real life in any circumstances?

Afraid I havent got the access to move you to community members - will have to get Anks to do that - if you dont mind posting in here your profile link to the community site it will make it easier to admin.

I think since the site is primarily designed for clanning, it only really lets proper members access to the main features...

Ideally since the community springs from these very forums we are hoping that once we get our act together we may persuade OcUK to perhaps sponsor/advertise and so wanted to lay the foundations to that. When I spoke to Anks I think we agreed that if its to do with games then it should be fine to list (Ive already done that for COD4 and HL2: OB on the Xfire forums) while anything else should be avoided...

Hope that makes sense - just looking at the (hopefully realistic) big picture...

P.S. @ Snowdog - hmm thats wierd - Im still on IE6 and just noticed that - Ill see if I can get it raised to xippy...

Everyone is added to member now ;)

if your not added to clan member you cant see all the forums ;) so you will have to wait untill amateurjimmy is on, i can assure hell add them as soon as he signs on ;)
