i hate it how the film companys try and compare downloading films to stealing a car, or mugging someone, or breaking into homes... stuff like that its stupid

Actually I agree. I believe the movie industry should go the way of the music industry and rather then demonise pirates, they should give the consumer easier ways to get legitimate content online.

one example, we are now being offered 20 MBit unlimited internet for £35 a month, the upload speed is reallly low so it cant be used to host your own servers, so how would someone 'legally' get the most out of this offer????

(im on 4 meg unlim, if any1's interested

) i dont really get the most out of it lol mostly use it for gaming now, nice ping/low P/L

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT

Internet is priced as it is because that is how much it costs to provide, it is only cheap in countries where there has been government subsidies.

If you can think of any examples please post them... or you feel you can offer Internet at a much cheaper price then whey arn't you doing so, you could be a millionair. I will buy it for a start.

How would they legally get the most out of it? Who cares. Just download loads of legal stuff, perhaps? Play loads of games? Send e-mails with huge attachments?

You buy cars that can do 150mph, but you can't justify doing that speed on the motorway on the basis that you're just trying to get the most out of what you paid for.

EDIT: im not even going to try and argue on here lol, iv learned that lesson from the 3 page forum thread debate i had about PSU's when i first signed up to this site

i eventually gave in and brought the corsair 450w psu lol

copying isnt theft since it doesnt deprive the owner of anything
