Sorry to go off topic, but I thought you had the Asus P5K-E?? I thought you always went with the cheapest value for money lol. (thats a good thing by the way, wasn't taking the ****.)There both top mobos, each have their own minor strengths and weaknesses, would be like comparing a Big Mac to a Double-Whooper
I went with the ASUS board although I was very tempted by the ABIT.

Does the 2.00g revision fix the sata problems??The later revision is 2.00g which i would suspect is all you can buy now. They dissapeared for a while and when they came back in stock they were the 2.00g.
You will need to have a good read through but:-What SATA problems?

Certain Sata II drives, not sure about Raptors but they seem to be incompatable - Seagate 7200.10's & 11's seem to work fine.

P5K? P5K-E, P5K-Deluxe? P5K-Premium? which version?I'm about to get a P5k
P5K? P5K-E, P5K-Deluxe? P5K-Premium? which version?
Like I said, it seems that Seagate 7200.10's & 11's dont appear to have this problem but it has to be a bug with the actual motherboard because other drives work flawlessly with any other motherboard. It seems some people have had issue while using 'RAID' and 'ACHI'. Does it say there is a problem with regular SATA disks at this time?
That looks a good board, everyone has had good reviews of it, will be even better if they fix the V-droop that affects the latest two bios updates for compatability with Penryn CPU's even with the voltage dampener on.Asus P5K-E WiFi
Different board, seems there are some teething issues with the *Premium* version but as far as I know this doesn't effect the other boards?Asus P5K-E WiFi
