Wow these have become really cheap now, friend had a Y plate one was about 2 years old in Silver, 2.2 Bertone, afraid to say i wasn't impressed, however its deffo an upgrade from your MG.

Whats strange is that is probably the first de-branded picture of a car that improves it. Not bad looking at all imo!

Might just be because it had a vauxhall badge on it beforehand though.

Becuase they do a Turbo, which is quick in a straight line and reasonably cheap.

Yeah - the turbo would have been nice but more expensive to buy, insure and run unfortunately

The 1.8, although not as quick as the Turbo, isn't that slow at about 8.5s to 60

It's not that heavy (1.2 tonnes IIRC) so surely that's doable?

My MG is rated at 8.6 - that's from 115bhp and about 1.1 tonnes

You'd be the better judge if you have a drive-about while your used to your mg...if its 8.5 like parkers say it should feel very similar.
