ye jus installed, played through the first 5 minutes of the first level (i always do it to measure performance after tweaking so its a fair test) and there was no realy difference compared to no patch installed.

here is my spec:

q6600 @ stock
2 x 8800 GT @ stock set to alternate frame rendering 2
2gb pc6400 @ stock
169.09

16xAF
0xAA

going to try with the 169.28 now

installed it, and tried the gpu bench, massive gain of 1fps

same settings i have listed in gurusans benchmark thread, not even worth uploading a screenie.

Why not try loading up something like the snow levels and see if that runs moother?

i was happy enough with my previous bench run, 52.785 fps maybe i was just expecting to much from this patch.

yeah just tried with the newer 169.28 drivers. all same settings, same part of the level, no difference. and yes im certain ive enabled sli in the control panel etc etc.

disappointing

There was so much hype surrounding this patch and the gains are minimal at best.

its my understanding that enabling SLI in the control panel does nothing for crysis, put r_MultiGPU=1 in your config file too see if that helps

ive been using that for a long time m8. makes no difference really. its always at 30 fps, which is good, i was just hoping this patch *** mean it would never go lower than that.

baring in mind i am all at stock, im sure some overclocking could push it to the levels that this patch promised

yeah constant 30FPS would be brilliant in crysis, you sure you don't have Vsync turned on?
