Keegan appointed new Newcastle manager, again.

I can tell by your severe lack of knowledge about the subject you are trying to talk about you haven't got the first clue about football. Its all medals and trophies, nothing else matters, typical armchair fan, i'm very surprised your not a manc tbh.

Oi leave us Man Utd fans out of this if you don't mind :p

In fact heres one. Which two clubs have had the most success domestically in the last 10 years or so ? Which two clubs have the longest serving managers ? Coincidence ?

I don't necessarily agree that it's not the Geordie fans fault. You keep saying few fans wanted him out. Yet whenever I see interviews outside the ground (i.e. match going fans) all you hear on SSN and Setanta Sports is moaning Geordies and the style of football you play. Then there are loads of fans singing for Big Sams head. So to us outsiders it does look like the majority of fans wanted him out

Granted his football was not pleasing on the eye but at least he was trying to get some stability. He had to deal with the legacy of Keegan and Sheppard. Although Keegan may have brought you some instant success by way of promotion and champions league football, he mad far more mistakes that the club still has to live with to this day

That's been your problem since we started posting, Newcastle's inferiority. You mentioned Liverpool, not me.

We don't think we "should" be getting anything, It's no secret that we have a burning desire to win the league.

That's all it ever will be.

All the toon fans wanted this season was some progression, a top half finish and to get the ball rolling, this was my point, which you failed to accept as you think you know the club and its fans more than the people in question.

Telling us were a mid table club and we're we belong and telling us we think were a big club and were deluded etc...but yet none of that is true. We know our place, its not above our station, a minority still believe far too much, just like a minority of Liverpool fans think they should sack Rafa because he can't deliver them the title, its not Rafa who can't deliver, its the club, the club will never deliver the title again in this modern era, there is two clubs currently much better, and another full of kids ready to dominate. I see you realise this, but you hold hope, just as i hold hope that we will one day return to CL football, and it wasn't that long ago we had our shot, a lot less time passed between then and now than since Liverpool won the league.

Don't really like Newcastle but come on you have to give a manager a chance. Don't really care much for "big sam" either but he does deserve a chance toons loss if you ask me

Newcastle fans are as much to blame for there lack of success as the club itself, what chance does a manager have when the second he has a bad run of form the fans are calling for his head? Im certainly not an Allardyce fan by the guy never stood a chance, he had no time to shape a side which he could then be judged on. Ashley strikes me as a bit of an idiot too, what sort of position is he in to make a decision when he's constantly sitting with the fans being put under huge pressure to sack Allardyce?

Ive always had a bit of a soft spot for Newcastle and if Liverpool weren't going to win a trophy then i'd rather Newcastle won it than any other club but until they sort themselves out throughout the club there going to win nothing.

Back on topic......

Newcastle is mid-table FFS, that's not BAD, expectations are just too high for a club that hasn't won anything in years. It's not like they won the league last season and now they are struggling, they've been like this for a while now so I don't see why are the fans expecting something thats just not going to happen in 18 games. Sure Newcastle was once great, but wasn't that 30 years ago? I mean 30 years ago Nottingham Forest were European Champions too and look where they are, they'd give anything to be 11th in the top flight again.

I agree 100% with Young BaZ. He does sometimes talk sense ;)

Good post. It's probably a case of that minority being the loudest thus effecting mine, the media and just the general overall view of Newcastle fans expectations.
