A little update on this,

The recently announced guest appearances of Darth Vader and Yoda in Soulcalibur IV come with a catch—each release will feature a console exclusive Star Wars character, with Darth Vader playable only in the PlayStation 3 version, Yoda playable only in the Xbox 360 version. Yes, you'll be able to enjoy pitting light saber against sword, but you may not be able to actually have a Yoda versus Darth battle unless Namco Bandai and LucasArts decide to make them available via downloadable content.

So no yoda VS darth battles:( , but i guess the other soul calibur game had platform exclusive characters, maybe there'll be more, Master Chief on the 360 and Snake on the PS3, be cool.

It's a bit strange dumping (albeit cool) sci-fi characters into a fantasy setting. I'd plump for Vader though.

i love soul calibur but this feels totally out of place..

edit: seen that its jsut console exclusive bonus's which i guess is ok, it would have been so stupid if it whole bunch of playable characters

well heihachi didnt look too out of place, i knew nothing about spawn but he didn't seem too out of place (lizardman) plus the fact that he was crap anyway, and link was nintendo exclusive so it was a cool bonus.

if soul calibur 4 were to have 2+ chars from STAR WARS with bloody light sabers then it would have been stupid. but as it stands, its just a bonus char for each console which i think is fair enough

Oh dear, they look like they don't belong there...

Is this another one of those one on one beat em ups, SF2/VF style? I was hoping it wasn't. I know little about the title atm but thought it was some single player adventure game with big boobehs :D

haha what a joke. Wouldn't a light sabre just fuse through a sword and flesh (yes I know it's not real)

What a stupid idea. It looks totally out of place.

Could a person survive the number of sword wounds that a soul caliber character gets in a round? Its hardly realistic is it, Im sure they could say that all the soul caliber characters are using technology like the vibroblades in the Star Wars universe.
