My all time favourite is Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier (with their Kristalweissbier a close second) :)

I can't wait to try their Dunkel! I should hopefully be going to Germany (Bavaria) this year, so here's hoping it's a warm summer to sit out on the street enjoying, as yet, undiscovered Bavarian treasures!

Aaaah the days of being able to just nip over the border into the Netherlands (Limburg) to one of the pubs with 100s of beers on the menu. Typical when I was over there I used to crave all the Scottish stuff I was missing, now I'm missing all the German and Dutch food and drink :o

Wifebeater aka Stella me favourite tipple for neon years now :D Hence a good few drunken posts on here :D They make no sense even to me the day after Hoo Hum.....

Well for wheat beers Id suggest a few other than the standard Erdinger - Franziskaner, Weihenstephaner and also Schneider Weisse. The dark double-bock Aventinus isnt really a big style but theres a similar one called Spaten Optimator which I tried on tap in Zum Schneider in the East Village in New York - lovely. http://www.zumschneider.com for reference.

You should also try and check out if you can find anything by Samuel Smiths (brewed in Yorkshire - their Imperial Stout, Oatmeal Stout and Taddy Porter are great, great beers.

Tripels, well, apart from the usual I really like Delerium (think thats triple?), Affligem, Karmeliet. Abbaye Des Rocs stuff is great too, their Brune especially.

Asda also sell the Guinness Foreign Extra Stout at £1.20 a bottle, its an awesome stout which is easily found too.

Also, look out for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which is a very decent brew, found in Tescos too I think.

Good list, thanks mate :)

Weekends almost here aswell, Saturday night is Ribs night in Wordy Towers and I've got some new beers to try :)
