Crackdown - pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, was having a lot of fun with it last night. Very exciting to play.

One thing i would say is don't judge this game on the demo - for whatever reason i thought very little of it. The full game thought is great.

Yeah same mate. I thought the demo was pretty poor. I bought it on a whim really when I had nothing else to play. In fact it was the first game I played having got my surround sound system (first one ever) and the explosions were awesome.

Damn, I want to play it now :)

I've still got this to start properly, seemed good at the time but I must admit I bought it for the Halo 3 beta . But my bro borrowed it and finished it and he seemed to enojy it so I will have to give it another go soon!

Bought this a couple of months back and have just played through til the end (still probably going to go through and find some more orbs).

It's great fun leaping about once your agility is half decent, one of the few games I enjoyed looking for the collectables.

Just don't make my mistake. 10 mins into the game and try to climb Wang Tower. I didn't realize he was the final boss after posting my whine on this forum ;)

Crackdown is similar to dead rising - both very very good games but you need to level up before enjoying them.

great game in my opinion. missions are good fun, if a little samey, but the achivements are good to go after as there is a lot of variety.

jumping around is awesome too.

Speaking to Develop Magazine, producer Phil Wilson said the team is "heartbroken" that there won't be a Crackdown 2 but "Microsoft were a little late in stepping up to the plate to ask for Crackdown 2, and by then we had already started working on bigger, better things".

Ah see I've read that and just assumed it wouldn't be soon if it was going to be done.

It doesn't sound like a definite decision to me either. I would be very surprised if Crackdown never receives a sequel - maybe in a few years time.

Excellent heads up, just bought 2 copies (one for me, one for my brother for co-op) for £25. Great bargain.
