Miss K and I will be heading very close past your way at the beginning and end of this trip. (we are coming down the A404 to Junction 6 (i think) of the M4)
We have to pick up a pair of hitch hikers in Bristol, which last time filled the car to capacity.
However last time Kreeeee and I took way more crap than we needed. This time I'm limiting what I'm taking to:
1*change of cloths per day
2* xbox360 + power supplies
2*monitors (on my lap)
2*headphones
3*network cables
1* projector
2*vga cables
3* power supplies.
1* CD wallet containing games
Barring the consoles and monitors, the electricals should almost all fit in to a rucksack. So if Kreeeee and StarSwirl can do likewise (no bongo drums game). And You too can do the same. We should, be able to be able to fit everyone in the car.
If we think this is going to be a challenge. Then we can hire a larger car, and split the cost.
Seems silly 2 cars coming from our way all the way to the edge of Wales.

Thanks for the offer Krono. I thought the A404 joined west of Maidenhead at Junction 8? Saying that I live about five minutes off of Junction 6 at its about 15-20 minutes max from Junction 8 so not an enormous distance considering you're driving the entire length of the M4 and then some!
What car do you have? Five plus gear might be a squeeze but I'm more than happy to share petrol/hire car costs. Only issue is that my insurance doesn't cover driving other cars as I'm 24.
Let me know your ideas or email me (trust) if you want to work something out.

Yeah its junction 8, got my numbers mixed up.
We've (miss K has) got a 5 door ford focus.
We were able to fit 1 suitcase, 1 box about the size of a suitcase, 3 consoles, 1 mini hi-fi + speakers, 1 projector, 1 carry all, I think a small suitcase (Kreeeee what did Startswirl put her cloths in?) 2 hitch hikers, a box with odds and sods several rucksack and a partridge in a pear tree in the back of the car. It was a bit tight and Kreeeee was a bit anoying but we got there an back with no issues.
So basically if everyone only took the essentials (Kreeeee and I really did over pack) we could get 3 in the back (with monitors on laps) and all the kit in the boot.
If we were hiring then we would probably just put you and Miss K on the hire car's insurance (I'm apparently not to be trusted). If we were taking Miss K's car then she would have no problems driving all the way there and back. (although because I'm publicly volunteering her she will "Pretend" to be hard-done-by
)

A Focus sounds okay to me- I own a Clio (no sniggering at the back) and you wouldn't want to sit in the back for 10 miles let alone several hundred.
I'm trying to 're-appropriate' my 17" LCD so that I don't have to take my Sammy TV off of the wall (which would definitely mean you couldn't fit me in car) but I don't see any problems with getting it. Kit wise I was thinking the same.
If you don't fancy backtracking I can get myself to somewhere near junction 8/9 which joins to the A404.
So yes if you are offering I'll gladly scam a lift/pay for petrol etc.

it shouldnt be to bad as the longest stretch is before we pick up kreeee and star swirl anyway, just those bend in wales that are entertaining once leaving the M4

Bloody right they are. I rang up when i was a fair bit away and asked if there were any speed cameras, they said no so i my heavy right foot affliction was allowed to run wild.
By the way, i am passing Bristol so if you need me to pick any gear up for you scrotes, give me a shout.
We may just take you up on that offer mate!

At one point I took off into flight coming over a hill, didn't realise the drop on the other side. Also had this lorry (ok, big van) driver treating me as if i was a woman for about 1/4 the way, y'know, giving me looks and trying to pass me once i'd passed him.
