Didn't that engine come from the Q7? or did that model never make production? I remember being surprised that the HUGE 5L V10 TDi from the Phaeton was about to be surpassed by an even more mental 6L V12 TDi.

Neat but it will be seriously uncool because you will have to explain to everyone that even though it is a diesel it can still go very fast.

And you've also got that TDI badge to explain - so that needs to go. You've got that awesome looking engine bay with that TDI zit on it And it's not enough that it doesn't sound like an oiler - a V12 car, which looks like this, needs to sound like a proper V12 car! And it won't.

But saying that, it's absolutely gorgeous, the stats are amazing, and if it wasn't for those three little horrible letters I'd have one BUT I CAN'T DO IT MY BRAINS WON'T LET ME I want it to have a V12 petrol and sound like an XJR12 I can dream...

Well it looks very nice as do all R8's but the engine is just wrong, if that is the flagship model, thats not right! v10 PETROL please!

There was talk of dropping the Le Mans V12 into the Q7 but then it turned up as a 6L rather than the 5.5L from the R10.

Looks just fantastic, it really does.

But to repeat what I said before: Diseaseal has no place in a sports car. I don't care what figures it's making, it wont rev, it'll have stupidly tall gears and it'll have a narrow power band.

Not the characteristics I look for in a supercar thanks.
