OcUK Forum Trolls - WoW Guild

as I know if you make the wrong ones it can mess up your character and there's nothing you can do about it...

Well that's not strictly true, you can change your "Talents" (points you get to spend in certain areas after lvl 10) at any point in the game, but each time you do it costs money and it gets more expensive each time!

TheDean,

Seriously you cannot mess up your character at all! Just remember each time you level 2 times (in even numbers ie at level 6, 8, 10 etc) go and visit the trainer of your class to learn new abilities and skills.

No matter what profession/trade you use you can always change. I personally disagree with Zefan's opinion on choosing 2 farming professions. You can make gold with a proper profession which you will use later on in the game. Using 2 gathering professions does gain more money but at the later stages of the game it costs far much more to level should you change.

Just enjoy the game and play it as YOU want.

Might be a good idea to join the current guild since it sounds like the new one might not be up for a few days and in those few days is when you need all the advice on random things you can get. Anyone can invite just type /who OcUK and message one of them for a guild invite.

To respec costs gold and does go up each time. However if you respec once a month only the price will always be the same. So dont let that put you off.

Some very good advice - Thank you!

what they said... lol

Dean i can come and give you a hand if you like, ill be online tonight after about 6:45 :) Hunter was my first character, their brilliant for soloing, you can take down things that are 4-5 levels higher than you. most class's cant do that! - they also cause a hell of a lot of damage! and having a pet is great too, better still you get to name it and feed it to keep it happy! also you'll get to train it to do different abilities. Pets can train in differnt things dependant on what they are... for example, some Cat type pets can stealth...and some Boars can Charge and stun... all good fun! :) hunter is my favourite of all the classe's tbh! :)
if youve signed up to our guild forums make sur eyou get active on there too :) we'll be changing our guild name soon, so dont want anybody getting left behind :)

any questions at all no matter how silly they may sound, just ask - somebody is always willing to help :) and theres always somebody online in this guild!

Next time you're on mate jsut ask to join the current guild - we have problems with the guild master not being online so we can't sort any of the stuff out we need to - hence the discussion about disbanding and restarting a new one.

But Cliffy has spoken to a GM [Blizzard Game Master] and after 4 weeks of inactivity he can change the guild master for us - so we shouldn't need to restart :)

I should also be on later tonight - ingame name Bubalus - so can help out.

Main thing is to join the guild - everyone is really friendly so it will help you loads :)

I will be on at the weekend. I will be using a warrior and rogue, so if your low level - 0-20, give us a shout and ill come help...

I only play weekends, working in the week :(

I think what KNiVES was saying is that you can get to level 10 in 1/2hours but after that is begins to slow down.

I meant it gets silly addictive once you hit level 10 - talents and green gear and a real sense of character development starts to kick in, as well as seeing one of the major cities for the first time - and you're hooked.

Don't worry about levelling speed on your first time - take it all in at your own pace. I'd kill to be in your position right now, going through WoW for the first time ever and being totally mesmerized by the endless landscapes. I remember going through Mulgore (my first character was a Tauren) and being awestruck, there wasn't anything like it in any of the video games I've ever played before, let alone a persistent world.

KNiVES is right, the first time I played WoW I was gobsmacked at the graphics, and all round quality of the game, I was playing on a old 19" CRT monitor and thought it looked amazing, then when I got a 24" flatscreen I was blown away. The regions in game have been excellently realised ecpecially The barrens, duskwood, silverpine forrest, taranis, Echo Isles.

If you look past the numerous kill x10 mobs quests and read the quest backgrounds I found that it helped with the repetitive nature of some of the quests and got me immersed into the game.

Personally I would argue that it's the best game avaiable on the PC, let alone the best mmo out there

Green gear/armor/weopons generally has stats on your armor ie +2 agility as well as your basic armor.

There are the following types

Grey
White
Green
Blue
Purple
Orange

You will prob never own Orange though ;)
