WOW!

What an absolutely amazing game!!!

I dont know how far into it,

The nuke just exploded, and now im on the SAS mission after.

The mission when your guiding the tank through the city was intense as was the mission after!!

I really am stunned by the quality of this game.

Graphically and game play wise, this beast crysis hands down.

Crysis didn't even run on my rig, but playing both on my dads quad core, 8800gt ect machine, cod4 just looks and feels so much better.

Sure Crysis probably has better textures but overall i feel more into and more like im actually there in COD4.

Waiting for the poo storm caused by that statement :P

Just thought id say after playing 2 hours of it how much i enjoyed it.

Go out and buy it NOW if you havnt!!

Agreed. Absolutely excellent game, I enjoyed it thoroughly. It'd be interesting to play it on PC as I've only played it on 360.

:Edit: I advise anyone to play it on the second hardest difficulty, medium seems to be too easy in places and veteran is just too hard.

Is the game too hard for Zefan on veteran? :eek::p

Though I have to agree that the quality of the game is absolutely superb. I don't tend to play that many games. However, I was looking forward to the Call Of Duty 4 release and purchased it soon after and as soon as I started playing it, it was everything that I had hopped for. :)

i never actually played it on veteran, just hard, but it may be because your playing it on the 360 that it was harder to control which is what i find when helping step dad past one level. I found the 360 much much harder to aim quickly which at times you did, or even to aim at all tbh, i found i was reguarly going past the bad guy with my crosshair unlike pc which i had perfect aim every time ;). Although hard was hard at places it wasn't as hard as would have expected for hard so when i replay this game (:eek: rarely replay games e.g. crysis) i will be playing on veteran.

A game shockingly easy on hardest setting was halo 3, me and brother compelteed that game in a couple fo nights play time and it was almost too easy, some places took a while but never hard :confused:
 
I agree completely :)

Absolutely stunning game - one of only a handful of games I've ever completed - the other two CoD games on the PC being in that list, along with Carmageddon/Carmageddon 2.

I did it on Medium, found it a bit easy, then tried going back in Arcade Mode in Veteran to try to complete all the levels in the highest difficulty - Veteran is just too hard! I wish I'd done Hardened rather than Medium from the start :( It's not *quite* the same the 2nd time through, you know what's happening next! I may go back to it in a year or two and try again, though! ;)
 
the never-ending clone-enemies...what about the never-ending clone-enemies??!

for such a short game why do they make you rush through it? :confused:
 
Great game, really fast paced and didn't get a chance to take a breather most of the time. Completely different style to Crysis, and personally I think both are brilliant spectacular games.
Some awesome set pieces, loved all but the boat + first yank mission. The sniper level onwards was awesome :D
 
What i love about this game the most is the quality of variety. Yes you may have played a level in a plane shooting other ones before but Death from above is Just off the nut and the representation is almost realistic! And the sniper mission...just ace! My only gripe is the lack of time it took to finish but quality is better than quantity :)

I have got COD4 limited collectors edition from a highstreet GAME retailer for £24.99
 
It is a good game but the scripting puts you on rails throughout the whole game. Once you feel the scripting the game becomes No challenge whatsoever.
 
i agree it was brilliant, only thing is it's too short :( good story, loved the sniper level and the ending was really cool.
any signs of cod5 or an expansion pack?

and the multiplayer is just great fun too

I'm a hardcore PC gamer through and through, (i only just got an xbox360 2 weeks ago!) but cod4 on the 360 works very well. Its the first FPS on a console where the controls are actually good. I would say im just as good with the controller as i am with a mouse and keyboard on cod4. I've played the PC version too, but with my current spec, the console version looks far better playing in HD through a 32" TV :)
