Well I am sure that this is the least the British can do after their rule in India, and for stealing our Kohinoor diamond :p

And to those who say that India is a ****hole, it may be a little behind but at least the youth of India have a little respect and don't go killing people, sitting on brick walls spitting at people, playing hide and seek with trains etc! People have a lot more respect for one another! Go sort your own country out before taking the **** out of others! :mad:

I dunno it seems that most of the money that goes into public services is spent on immigrants, maybe Mr Brown is just using some common sense, cutting out the middle man and sending it to them direct.

I think the point is neither do morons and politics.

If you bother to read the thread you will realise people who have more understanding of the world around them, and an IQ that is greater than 10 you would realise that this is effect isnt a charity donation, it will increase our standing with the Indians, and strengthen their economy, which happens to have a direct link to ours. It will pay itself off within years, Gordon Brown isnt a moron, theres a reason he is a politician in the houses of parliament, and you pass comment on an internet forum. Do you see any other politicians heckling this? no. Because its extremely rational.
 
Surely investing that 800mil would give better returns if invested in something on these shores.
Alternatively, I was always told Charity begins at ..................
 
sheesh if you specific morons feel that bad about the £800m why dont you go to India and use up £800m worth of their resources, would help the forums aswell as yourself ( hopefully you getting severe diarrhea )
 
Indias economy is growing faster than ours isnt it? Hence why they could see it as a better investment, plus they do offer a foothold in another part of the world, and keep our relationship extremely friendly.

Nope we have a crap workforce who wont work cheap, we dont have that much access to raw materials as others, yes we are starting to re industrialise to an extent but have to compete with other countries a hell of a lot.

So if we get stronger import and export links , could proove to be very very beneficial.
