hi

i have a xbox360 elite which i love but i dont play it every day, my question is with the ps3 games it looks like there going to improve this year so would it be worth getting a ps3 as well?

cheers

Yeah, the more the merrior :)

TBH, since I bought the PS3 it's only been used for media purposes and I only buy blu-ray HD films so the PS3 is a must for me. Would you benefit from this though? If it's just games then your probably best hanging on for a while.

I had an xbox and PS2, it was great because each console had its exclusive games but the the exclusive games on the PS3 that are great are few and far between and if you don't play on your xbox 360 everyday you will hardly play on PS3.

I had a PS3, 360 and Wii and whilst it's definitely worth having the Wii and one of the others, there's no point in having a 360 and a PS3. The 360 makes an excellent media centre and streams every video format I have on my PC :)

hi

yeah see you point , its just like that game uncharted for the ps3 it looks good as i like adventure/story like games and i cant see many like that on the xbox apart from bioshock which im not to sure about?

is there any good adventure games like uncharted being released this year on the 360?

cheers

Can you play blu-ray on it?;)

Im with Andy, i use mainly the 360 for games, and the ps3 for hidef and divx, with the occasional game until some new stuff come out.

Whys that then? The ps3 has some exclusives now (Uncharted, Singstar etc) with more coming soon.

I bought both and think its worth it personally. Why not have the best of both worlds. :)

I've got a Wii and PS3, and used to have a 360, in an ideal world I'd like all 3 because then you get to play anything you want.

However, there isn't a great deal of exclusives on the 360 that interest me, or that I can't get on the PC. where as the PS3 exclusives do interest me so that's why I went for that.

The Wii is just a casual thing really, I don't treat it too seriously, Mario Galaxy is great but other than that there is nothing which holds my interest. It's a damn good toy imo.

Anyway, what i'm trying to say is look at the PS3, if you like the look of any of the existing exclusives or upcoming exclusives then go for it ;)

I have to disagree with that - my son in law has just bought a 360 - it's just too loud to be a decent media centre. Yours may be nice and quiet but thats certainly not the case with his and many others I suspect.

In regards to video formats - the PS3 can do this too.

As for owning both systems - if you play a lot of games then it's worth it - otherwise stick with what you've got.

Having 2 consoles is better than 1, having 3 consoles is better than 2.

I think the other deciding factor is time and money.

If you're not finding the time to play many 360 games, then how are you going to fit in playing PS3 as well?

Likewise if your monthly budget doesn't stretch to a couple of new titles every month, then how is it gonna stretch to more on another console?

I'm glad i have all three consoles! I wouldnt have it any other way.

Every console has it's plus points;

PS3 - Quiet, First Party Games, Blu Ray, Great Audio and did i say quiet?

Xbox - Great Games cataloque, achievements, live integration.

Wii - Mario Galaxy! :p

Blu Ray has all but won the format war now Warner has made the move to Blu Ray exclusively. Paramount and Dreamworks are looking to get our their deal with HD as well by all accounts.

Having 2 consoles is better than 1, having 3 consoles is better than 2.

The difference between 1 and 2 consoles is far greater than the difference between 2 and 3 though.

If you can afford it and have the time to play, sure get all 3, but for a lot of people the third console will be a waste of money.
