Fifa 08 Online

Im thinking of buying fifa 08 on the pc as i need my online football game fix and PES 2008 is just rubbish online, so the question is what is fifa 08 like online on the PC do many ppl play it and is it any good basically :cool:

Id love to know if its any good online as well, loved the last couple of Pro Evo games but my experience of playing them online hasnt been great so ive been thinking about givng Fifa 08 a go.

FIFA 08' on the PC is a PS2 port, so its not the 'HD' version of the game.

Online on the 360 or PS3 is great though

Well i bought it yesterday, i had a bit of trouble getting online with it as they seems to be a problem with one of the internet explorer updates, but once i uninstalled that it worked fine and loads of people playig it online aswell. The game itself doesnt look the greatest as it on an older engine but its still a good game

The online part of the game is very good u get like 1000 points and u can gamble them points in games, also u can join groups aswell ive joined the Newcastle United supporters group which r ranked 7th in the league but if everyone in that group does well we can move up the table, also a lot of tournaments going aswell which i might try out later.

I've played the demo of FIFA08 and it seems very similar to FIFA07 which isn't a bad thing. I had some great enjoyment on FIFA07 online, and there's no problem with lag in the majority of the games I played. I imagine FIFA08 will be very similar to 07 in this respect.

Give it a shot.. urinates all over PES' efforts to be honest.

Decided to give it a try as it was only twenty quid to download, i cant remember the last Fifa game i played so i'll be interested to see how it plays plus after having played Pro Evo for so long it'll be nice to have licensed teams from the off.

Anyone had any problems playing online? I've forwarded the ports mentioned in the manual but whenever I try to join or host a game it hangs on the loading screen.
