Not good enough. We desperately need another striker because Rafa won't give Crouch the playing time and Kuyt isn't a footballer. Kewell needs putting down as well. Totally ineffectual now.
Thought that would happen, late equaliser by Liverpool.
Villa really deserved to knick it in the end though to be fair, Liverpool should have finished this and it really should have finished 2-0.
I thought Taylor tonight wasn't that great for Villa in goal so that didn't exactly help.

Liverpool love hitting the panic button with ten minuites to go when they realise they havn't done enough to win the game. It just turns into a constant flow of long balls upto Crouch.
Pretty rubbish game all in all, Reo Coker (who was pretty decent tonight) should have been played in to finish it off but ah well.

Aye, Villa didn't play particularly well but I honestly thought they'd done enough to knick it in the end. Agbonlahor should have done better earlier on as well to be honest and it really should have been 3-1.
Something Mark Lawrenson said tonight made me think, he said that if you look at the Liverpool squad there are only three players in there that Arsenal,Chelsea and Man United would even think about looking at - Torres,Carragher and Gerrard and you may get one of the three teams gambling on Babel who looks pretty promising.
I'm not a fan of Gerrard or Carragher but you've got to agree with what he's said.

Few thoughts from tonight...
Kuyt - I'm completely perplexed as to why Rafa keeps playing him. He is completely and utterly useless and is not a footballer as Pigeon says.
Crouch - Why isn't he starting every game with Torres? Our second best striker by 300 thousand million miles. Another bad decision.
Benayoun - Can't pass to save his life, I lost count how many times he gave the ball away. Pennant played superbly against Luton, should have been rewarded with a start tonight. Another bad decision.
Kewell - He just hasn't got the pace or stamina to beat a man any more, also he can't cross, so that in effect just makes him a useless winger. Babel should be playing over him every day of the week. Another bad decision.
See a pattern?
Torres - Undoubtedly a quality player but is wasted in our team, he just isn't getting the service. He would be unstoppable at United.
Mascherano - Absolutely superb. If we can't afford to buy him then there will be a mile long list of clubs wanting to sign him.

Care to name anyone else that would get a look in then?
I'd hazzard a guess at Xabi Alonso and maybe Mascherano but other than that I really don't see any players that stand out.

I think mascherano could get into any team in the world - i never see him do anything wrong, other than sometimes give small fouls away. Each time he has the ball at his feet you know 100% the ball's safe - hes not going to lose it. There's no other player like that I've seen.
As for Liverpool, how oh how are they not learning from their mistakes? Someone said 18shots to Villa's 4. That's the story of their season - they completely dominate matches, but just don't do enough. So unbelieveably frustrating.

Liverpool fans will continue to back him. As I've said before, they're blinded (the majority at least) by 2 CL finals.
I said that couple of weeks back in fixtures thread and was just laughed at, not so funny now...
100% agree, either he or owners need to go to steady a sinking ship...
