HDCP content thru a Dell 2405?

Does anyone know if it is possible to view HDCP content via the VGA or DVI on the old Dell 2405s? I'm assuming not if the 3005 wont allow it but you never know - can anyone enlighten me please?

HDCP wasn't around back then, so no, it doesn't feature support over DVI. It's a digital interface encryption though, so using VGA would bypass it

cheers Baddass. I was thinking of getting one of the LG combi drives but had some doubts when HDCP was mentioned. Can VGA playback in 1080p tho? (I assume so thinking about it since the 360 does it right?)

yep, 2407WFP def does. I think you can do 1080p over VGA as well

Why don't you just get the AnyDVD HD software to play your movies and your problem is solved.

This didn't work for me (with the same monitor), I could only get 1080i over VGA and even then it was jumpy and horrible (this is with an xbox360 though).
