Devil May Cry 4 Demo Thread

Downloading the 360 version as we speak.. Will get the PSN version later.

XBL is fast today I am getting 900k a sec download!!!

I just set count on my watch (nice and simple). Calculate the time it took for 610MB demo to download, and the rest is just maths. (Some routers will be abel to give you these stats as well).

Played it! Liked it! Love it infact, It's just like the other DMC games, Only prettier and the abilitiy to pull your enemies towards you, Is absolute Genius, Just bring on those combos! :D I'm guessing there will be some pretty nice combo based achievements on live.

I really liked the fact after I got past the 1st section, And into the snow. My Timer ran out, and I was gutted. Then I realised the second section starts from there :D:D

Anyways, All in all. For me, This was awesome.
 
Wow I love it!! Graphics are great, makes Ninja Gaiden look last Gen (OK I'm exaggerating but it does look stunning) - Love the music too!

Definitely keeping my pre order!

Total size of download: 615MB
Time Taken: 9 mins (540secs)

615/540 = 1.13 MB a sec (so actually my speed was a bit faster than 900k a sec).

I really quite enjoyed the demo, didn't really bother much with the 10 minute mode but the fire demon (and the things you fight before it) were good fun.
 
The fire demon guy pwned me, mind you its my first DMC (please don't flame me :p) and it was my first attempt, managed to get him to 50% before I fell to the ground.

I can't get over how smooth it is, those who have played Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3, it is just as smooth and looks even better imo.

Can not wait for the full game now

Smoother I suspect (Ninja Gaiden Sigma had tearing in it).

PS3 version is about to finish downloading, but Question Time is about to start :(

im pretty impressed with this, might pick it up on release

its much better than DMC 2 + 3, and i really like the devil hand grab technique, adds a bit more depth to combos rather than reusing the same ones over and over again.

still getting to grips with it just now, but so far quite enjoying it :D
 
Cant say I'm impressed with the combat since it feels a lot more slow paced to me (in comparison to earlier games), but that could either be because of the demo limiting what you can do or Nero is just slow full stop.

The demo is limited, see the video I posted, you can do way more.

Plus I thought the demo was fine, once you learn about the "sword charge" and grabbing people in the air for air combos and so on. :D
 
I quite like the demo.

I am hoping the combat becomes more complicated as the game progresses as in the demo it got very repetitive.

I got past the first part of the 10min demo fine so then I attempted the fire guy and bloody hell he is hard.

I can get him down to about 1/5 of the way but never any more.

Just played the ps3 version and it was amazing!!!

I got the fire guy down to about 10-20% before he whooped me. I am sure I can beat him second time round.

On the 10 min limited part I could not reach the part outisde where the monsters are all covering the cars and coaches, is that possible? I really want to fight that large crowd!!

So fast, and fluid, and really loving the "grabbing" etc.

A few more jaggies then I was expecting tbh, but the 60fps is nice so can't complain I suppose.
