My first thoughts were a high interest account or an isa of some sort but I'm not sure. I want it to make me something but I'm not expecting to much back. I'm able to invest this much every 18 months so after say six years I'm gonna have 8k to play with plus what ever I make on top. I Could keep it going until I retire which is another 35 years.

Anybody else invest there cash?

Or an ISA.

EDIT - All my money goes into ISA up to max amount (£3k this year - goes up next April), then the rest is put in a high interest e-savings account and the rest split between boosting my dvd collection, filling my stomach with nice food and charity.

Premium bonds, won £50 last week, average winnings is much, much more than any ISA I can get.

Can only invest 30k mind, have a chance of 'winning' anything from £50-£1,000,000, in the middle of every month.

Does take 8 days to get hold of though, which can been annoying in a pinch.

Someone I used to train with has had £10,000 in premium bonds for 30yrs or something daft and has never won anything.

Might tranfser the money over to a high interest saving account first so at least its making more than in a current account whilst I save/think about what to do.
