Hi,

Just a thread for anyone who fancies pitting their wits against fellow owners of PixelJunk Monsters . You can buy the game for £3.49 from the UK/EU Playstation Store. Basically it is like a semi advanced Tower Defence kind of game. The point of these games is just high score so I thought I would create this thread to see how fellow OcUK'ers fare against each other.

OK, for me to check your high score you need to be on my Friends list. If you are not on my list then just post your PSN ID here and I will check it (I can't add you as my list is full, but I can browse the leaderboard manually).

I've played a couple of maps now and it does get way more challenging.

I really really like this game and could have easily paid more than £3.50 for it, they've done a cracking job with this one.
 
Stick me on there fella, had a quick go this morning, id like to know their definition of easy as level 3 dont seem to be. Did it 2nd go but getting no money from monsters makes it a bit harder than the others.

Glad its not just me who notices it gets hard very quicky... even on easy! The first was was simple but I am stuck on the second at the minute, would hate to see what the hard levels are like.
 
Be warned folks. I have managed to get remote play working over the internet. So I am sitting at my desk at work and can play this remotely!!!!

The1st level after training, I completed and I think I am 4th out of my friends leaderboard, but I could not perfect it (at least one life was lost).

Hey RP2000, Count me in on this one, suberb game, done the first two levels last night great game that'll make the Tower Defence genre proud.

At work just now mate. Will accept when i get in.
 
I'm probably going to grab this over the weekend, I played the demo from the Jap store last night and quite liked it, but wasn't sure if it'd have much depth.
However, today Eurogamer have given it 8/10, which is endorsement enough for me.
£3.50-tastic!

That's pretty cool.

I turned on the PS3 earlier, as I wanted to show somebody Shoot'em up on bluray (bloody brilliant btw) and I saw you online lol

So despite the fact you may be at work, you still show up on my friends list as being online, and playing Pixeljunk Monsters.

haha my goal 'was' to beat your score, I come really close, but I had another battle on with this lassy on my friends list, and she kicked my arse and is above everyone! So shes above you on my friends list now, and is placed in first place! Wanted to try beating it this weekend, but I 've got Burnout! argh

Anyone have trouble registering scores on this? Minie sits there saying "Now registering" for ages and doesn't seem to update, as every time I go back to leaderboard it does the same thing.

I have only played the 1st level (Easy 1), Easy 2 seemd quite hard when I tried earlier. I think this is tougher than normal tower defence games as you have to move your character around, rather than use a mouse, and he does his dancing malarky to upgrade.

Yeah mine does the "Now Registering" thing, but if you ignore it, play another game and re-check the score's it will update it, not really sure why it does this but it seems to work.

Just done that and it worked. I am now rank 47 for Easy 1. ;)
