Hi I was just wondering how the whole xp vs vista thing is going because I am thinking of changing my 32bit xp to 32bit vista premium or ultimate but I dont wanna do that if its not as good,:(
I already run Vista 64bit in a dual boot with xp but its useless, programs crash or just dont work, drivers are hard to find or just arnt any good , I only got it so I could take advantage of my full spec when playing some of the current games (crysis etc).

Any input would be great.;)

You're trolling tbh. Look up one of the many heated and informative Vista v XP threads to get an idea

And also if you're saying that programs crash, drivers are hard to get then why not state what you're after driver wise and what programs crash.

That's not normal,my Vista x64 with 56 games all work fine and don't crash, drivers for all my hardware are working great,my software programs all work fine with zero crashes etc...do I need to go on?..

Start troubleshooting ie have you ran Memtest86+ ,also some games need to be run as admin and xp compatibility mode etc...

Do you have UAC disabled,if so have you done a full anti-virus scan etc... with UAC disabled more chance of something bad getting through.
Also too much overclocking can cause stability problems.

Yeah I appreciate there is a lot of posts on this but I just wanted a more current idea of what people think and as far as crashing ,outlook is full of bugs (never holds password, crashs for no reason ,cant detect servers which isnt down to ISP) Explorer crashs all the time , and it hate all my creative gear (older gen SB audigy , Zen micro MP3 player) there are others but I havent used Vista for a while.
I hevent overclocked yet and I havent altered any vista setting either .

I have a Creative Zen Xtra which works fine in Vista. Not sure about the Micro though but as it's newer it should work fine.

If you are genuinely experiencing all of those faults it could be hardware related or down to a bad installation. Outlook runs fine for me.
