Seems some sad person has Phished (whatever that is my myspace) I went on today to see this on me, main page...

Your account has been phished!
You've been phished! We have blocked your account, until you change your password! This means you can't send a message, post a bulletin, comment or add a friend until you change your password!

Your account has been phished. This means that someone stole your email & password. Since we were able to detect this, we're giving you a chance to change your password now. This will prevent the evil phisher from logging in as you and sending spam comments, emails and bulletins. Change it now, and you'll be safe! And yes, this is really from Tom, & no this isn't fake. No one can change your home page except MySpace. Bad guys can only edit your profile, and login as you. They can't change the page this appears on, so you know this message is real. So please change your password and be careful so you don't fall for it again. :)

Is this for real? I cant access my profile to edit or owt.

Why do people do this?

Looks like this by the way....

The jokey way it's written is a bit fishy to me. Sorry, had to do the pun, but it is a bit odd.
"And yes, this is really from Tom, & no this isn't fake"

Definitely get confirmation from myspace support before doing anything else

Get out of my thread, grammar nazi.

:p Only messing :)

But on topic, I think you should try to clarify with Myspace whether they would put up such a message in this sort of instance. It just seems like the message has been written by a child, rather than an 'official' warning.

Well does all the friends bit and stuff just outside that screenshot look right? URL look correct? you'll be fine

not really :p. There's been quite a few cases (including myspace) of injection attacks that can replace the forms on websites to look exactly like the real thing at the same url. Anyone trying to persuade you that something is real like that sounds dodgy. A bit of googling suggests it is real though
