23% of Britons Say Churchill was a Myth

Poll was commissioned by UKTV Gold, and probably taken from their viewing audience. So I would be careful about drawing too many conclusions from it.

Still, a pretty disgusting result. I'm an Aussie, and even I know more about British history than these idiots! :eek:

Of course, for sheer brutal ignorance, you can't beat these people.

No, I believe that Benjamin Franklin invented electricity but I'm pretty sure we still hold the claim to inventing mavity.

Because all people who believe in god are ignorant morons with no real way of leading life for themselves and have to be fearful of a greater power as to not take responsibility for themselves. Or take advantage of the term 'Higher Power' and Paradise to extort the poor, vulnerable and stupid.
