Boy burned in PSP trouser blaze

How did it get hot enough to burn denim (presumably a pretty high burning point) before he felt it on his leg? Knowing kids in the US he was probably so doped up on Ritalin he couldn't feel anything.

from memory a lithion ion battery when shorting can go from room temp to fiery inferno of death in a few seconds.

I'm guessing that's what happened, as the PSP uses Li-ion batteries and Sony batteries have a rather disturbing habit of acting as impromptu fireworks.;)

Everything uses Li-ion batteries these days though, and it wasn't sony batteries before in those laptops that caught fire? or was it?

thats because coal takes a long time to produce the steam needed to power the GB, even longer if the monkey gets tired.

Well I guess if it was a genuine battery, adding that to the fact it happened in America, the kid will get about a bajillion dollars compensation so epic win for him really!
