"War on Scientology"

:D

Considering the reactions from Scientology, I think wearing a mask during the protest makes sense.

Yep, I'm waiting for the videos from Clearwater - that is if they have the guts to demonstrate there: the way I've seen people bullied by Scientology's hired thugs in Mark Bunkers documentaries (which are all on youtube btw) I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened in Clearwater. Scientology owns that town.

Elsewhere, however, I don't think it's such a big deal, especially if you're in a big protest and have the partial anonymity of the crowd to protect you. When there's hundreds around you then the legitimacy of the protest is so strong that it would be very hard for them to do anything, whether legally or through physical intimidation. But if it were just 5 people, and there were Scientologists with video cameras taping them, I'd expect to have people following each and every one of them later, or stuff thrown at their windows, or maybe even a slander lawsuit landed on one of the ringleaders.

It was on the livefeed someone posted, i was watching it for a bit they were all chanting barrel roll and stupid things like that, so i stopped watching.

edit: gonna try find the link to the live feed thing. brb lol

Just got back from the Manchester event at the deansgate church. There was around 150 people protesting and we had a lot of support, the entire event was peaceful with pleanty of lulz and a scientologist arguing with some of the protestors at one point, and people lurking in the church windows with cameras. There was a fair bit of media attention as well.

The event was rounded off with 150 people taking a bow opposite the church and singing fresh prince :p

Even though the whole thing was spawned by 4chan, once it tried to project a message against scientology all the stupid "internet chants" destroyed any credibility in the entire thing (if there ever was any) and just made everyone look like a bunch of /t/ards.

I see your point, but I think sometimes things work better when people don't take themselves to seriously. ;)

But when you're trying to "protest a religion" who are you preaching to with fresh prince of belair lyrics, barrel roll or longcat banners? or is everyone just trying to pat themselves on the back and say "hey, i've been on the internet! LOL BARREL ROLL!" no one cares about that crap the whole movement thing would have been immense if they left all of that out of it and actually put effort into what they were trying to promote instead of a thinly veiled, lol internet meme covered with a scientology march.

and wise beard man will be dissapointed : /
